THE CITY OF MONTROSE, COLORADO is currently accepting applications for the position of Finance Director. The qualified applicant will manage the operations of the Finance Department including the city’s fiscal operations, budget control, debt management, investments, cash controls, purchasing, payroll, utility billing, and general accounting. Manages a $42m city budget using the Caselle financial software system. Salary range: $66,000 – 77,000 with excellent benefit package.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in finance/business or similar field, with a CPA or MBA/MPA preferred; seven years municipal experience with five years in a supervisory/manager capacity; and the proven ability to develop and maintain an efficient and highly motivated organization.
